Wegmans failed me: no rhubarb. So there will be no strawberry rhubarb tart with almond streusel tomorrow.

Instead I found the delicious (and much sought after) cookie brownie mix and will be creating the wondrous goodness of gooey brownies combined with scrumptious cookie dough tomorrow afternoon.

Not exactly the same, but I have no worries that it’ll still deliver a large amount of happiness.

Other than the rhubarb disappointment and the lack of lavender nail polish, Wegmans fulfilled all desires: amazing bakery full of muffins that begged me to give in to all my cravings, never-ending food options, 20% off the new Chelsea Handler book, yogurt covered raisins to snack on and their classic, fantastic, Wegmans vibe.

Armory Square

Armory Square…the new hip place?! It was shockingly happening on this gorgeous, almost 90 degree April day. But it’s not like I’ve been there often or even recently, so I shouldn’t really judge on whether its level of activity is really new or rare or not. But either way, I loved it, as I strolled the boutiques with my Freedom of Espresso iced coffee. And I was informed that there might be plans for an Anthropologie to open in the Square soon. Wow. Syracuse, I am impressed.

Home sweet home.

I’ve slept in (yes, 9 AM is sleeping in for me now) and lounged around all morning. I even sampled one of my Mom’s latest obsessions: her soy shakes. The berry taste was yummy; the texture of her soy powder, not so much. But I love her for her effort and enthusiasm.

Now it’s off to Wegmans with my Mom and Sister to pick up some fish for tonight and supplies to bake a strawberry rhubarb tart that I discovered and started drooling over this morning.

Oh, and it’s going to reach almost 80 degrees today. I really can’t complain.

I’m currently searching for the perfect lilac, lite pastel purple nail polish for spring,
but in the meantime, I applied O.P.I.’s ‘Chapel of Love’ last night…and I’m obsessed.
I’ve had this color for awhile but fell in love with it today.
It’s optimistic and cheerful and a fun surprise
every time I looked down at my hands!

Just watch, I’ll have my brand new cute boots & there will be no rain

How can I not look forward to seeing this precious face!?

Homeward Bound

Tomorrow I board a flight home, to good ole update New York and I can barely contain my excitement. It’s bittersweet as I’ll only be home for 2 full days, returning back to Boston Sunday late afternoon, as to not miss anymore days of work. But I’m going to soak up my time at home with gusto.

It’s supposed to be gorgeous weather, and I can’t wait to walk my puppies, curl up with my cats, lounge with my Mom, catch up with my Dad, gossip with the Sister, hit up Wegmans and Target with the ease of a car(!), and just enjoy their company and being in a place that feels so right.

Oh, and Lent ends, so I’ll be consuming lot of much anticipated chocolate (I gave it up for Lent and haven’t cheated once). Bring on those Cadbury Eggs!!
