I see one of these little boys almost every morning (we often have a stare-off contest and I win as he usually begins barking manically)…and today returning to the office post-lunch I discovered that there are actually 2!

This sight can’t help but bring a smile to your face.

Today was a very nice day. The anticipated arrival of some lovely nail polishes started the day off swell, and then it was a fabulous day for Boston’s Marathon Monday! The weather was great and the energy around the city was contagious. Some girls from work and I enjoyed a nice lunch outside and took in the scene.

And then I stopped at the grocery store on the way home and picked up ingredients for a

baking masterpiece later in the week ; )

My search has ended!

I no longer need to hunt down that lilac colored nail polish any more! I’m so excited-I won the giveaway from one of my favorite blogs, Hiking in Stilettos!

The Delectable Drapers

I’m catching up with my Mad Men episodes and just watched the Italy episode…and fell in love with Betty Draper’s style while in Rome. She screamed chic sexiness and the way she and Don looked at each other was achingly hot.

Their Roman love fest was just delicious.

Nail dilemmas cont.

As I continue on my search for the perfect lavendar, lilac nail polish,

I decided to up the glamour as I search and paint my nails a classic, bright red.

But the only red I own…Sally Hansen brand.

And I was reminded that Sally is no O.P.I. and no Essie.

Chips dominated my digits and I’ve removed the damaged, dreary remains and

picked up some ‘And a Cherry On Top’ from Sephora on Thursday.

Crisis solved.

And then the tarps emerged and we exited

And the rain returns

It’s raining and gross outside and has been since midday yesterday. Way to put a damper on weekend activities.

The boy and I ventured to Fenway for the game and we sat, prepped for the worst, in the bleachers. But luckily for us, some of our friends had empty seats right next to them…between home plate and 1st base, under the overhang, so we moved and enjoyed the game, protected from the cold rain.

And it came down harder and colder, so that by the middle of the 9th inning, the tarps came out over the field and we went in, right into Beerworks and snatched up some delicious blueberry beer. A great toast to the night :)
