There is something about old Hollywood glamour.
It is just that much more glamorous, compared to a majority of today’s sloppy celebs. My dad’s office used to be next to a video store and he’d come home with old movies for me more often than the latest releases. I fell in love with the lovely ladies and dashing young studs. I watched these flicks over and over again: West Side Story, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, A Streetcar Named Desire, several Doris Day romantic comedies, and of course, Audrey Hepburn’s classics.
Just take a look at the latest Vanity Fair cover; today any female star would look trashy and inappropriate in similar settings. Liz Taylor however rocks it out; she is radiating sexiness and allure, but also looks beautiful and pure. Not easy.
The article inside is her love letters with her (one of many past) husband Richard Burton. Must pick this up pronto!
